Medical Society, from Georgetown University School of Medicine.
He then completed an Ivy League Ophthalmology Residency at
Scheie Eye Institute, University of Pennsylvania. He subsequently
completed a Subspecialty Fellowship Eye Surgery Training Program
at Shiley Eye Center, University of California San Diego (UCSD),
Department of Ophthalmology, in Cornea / Cataract, Refractive
Surgery and External Disease. He was the attending eye surgeon
for residents learning eye surgery at UCSD upon completing
his fellowship subspecialty training in advanced techniques in
microsurgery of the eye.
He has received eye surgery training and/or performed eye surgery
throughout the world, including Moorfields Eye Hospital in London,
United Kingdom. He has performed missionary eye surgery in
Africa and is an invited guest lecturer in countries throughout the
world. The author has written and published multiple professional
textbooks, professional book chapters, and professional academic
research articles.
