Summary

  • I am an OB/GYN resident physician planning to focus a clinical and academic career on care for refugee and migrant populations, with a particular interest in strengthening delivery of maternal healthcare in humanitarian contexts. I have a Master in Public Health focused on humanitarian health, with academic work that has examined the current evidence base for sexual and reproductive health interventions in humanitarian settings and issued recommendations for strengthening this evidence base.

I have extensive prior experience and expertise in healthcare analytics with a focus on population health management, as well as in community health programming from conducting a needs assessment through implementation and subsequent monitoring and evaluation of program effectiveness.

I have volunteered with refugee communities domestically and internationally for over 10 years, and in medical school I obtained specialized training in conducting forensic evaluations to support asylum seekers in the United States.
