Overview of Dr. Halpern
Dr. Allan Halpern is Chief of the Dermatology Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and an internationally recognized expert in melanoma and pigmented lesions. Dr. Halpern has over 300 original publications and has made major contributions in the areas of melanoma risk stratification, melanoma prognosis, and especially in the area of early detection. He has pioneered the use of digital technologies (3 dimensional total body photography, dermoscopy, reflectance confocal microscopy) and AI for early detection. He created and leads the International Skin Imaging Collaboration, an academia/industry partnership for advancing technologies for skin cancer detection.
