Summary

  • As a Harvard-trained anesthesiologist, I have over a decade of experience in clinical anesthesia, medical education, and leadership roles. My passion for regional anesthesia has led me to become an Associate Professor of Anesthesia and the Medical Director of the Operating Room at UCSD San Diego. I am a former Chief of Anesthesia at a Harvard Teaching Hospital. I am also a frequent speaker at national and international meetings.

I am responsible for teaching, research, and clinical work in anesthesiology. I have developed and implemented several curricula on anesthesia, sharing my knowledge and expertise with students and colleagues.

As the Medical Director of the Operating Room, I lead the operating room's clinical operations and performance optimization to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

As a former Chief of Anesthesia, I oversaw the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures at a Harvard Teaching Hospital. I provided leadership and mentoring to junior faculty, ensuring they were equipped with the tools and knowledge necessary to provide top-quality patient care.

I am currently in the last year of my Master of Health Administration at Penn State University, where I am sharpening my skills in health systems management, operations, and quality improvement. I completed the American Society of Anesthesiologists’ Certificate in Business Administration program, acquiring business acumen and strategic planning skills.

As a Fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiology (FASA), I have been recognized for significant contributions to anesthesiology and demonstrated excellence in patient care, research, and education. I was part of the initial Face and Limb Transplant Team at Brigham and Women's Hospital, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians to perform one of the world's first full-limb transplants.
