• Dr. Alyssa Parian is the Medical Director of The Center for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases at Hackensack University Medical Center in NJ where she has built a multidisciplinary IBD comprehensive center of care including dietician, social worker, mental health care and is colocated with colorectal surgery. She completed her Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Johns Hopkins University from 2011 to 2014, after her Residency in Internal Medicine at the New York Presbyterian Hospital from 2008 to 2011. She is a graduate of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and holds a BS in Neuroscience from Boston College. Dr. Parian has extensive experience in managing inflammatory bowel diseases, including ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, and perianal fistulas. She has published multiple papers, notably in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases and perianal fistula, IBD associated dysplasia and IBD and nutrition. She has been the site PI of numerous clinical trials for IBD, and has received research grants for investigator initiated studies including a large grant to study Crohn's perianal fistula from the Helmsley Foundation.
