Summary

  • CRNA | Founder of Pause to Remember | Podcaster | Speaker | Yoga Teacher

My focus has pivoted to supporting healthcare providers grieving after experiencing pregnancy or infant loss through the Pause to Remember community to reduce feelings of isolation, support provider well-being, and help providers honor the memory of their baby (or babies).

In hopes of normalizing difficult conversations and learning how other providers have navigated grieved, I host the Pause to Remember Podcast found on major podcasting platforms including Apple, Spotify, and Amazon music.

Each month, with the help of two other CRNAs, a virtual support group is offered via Zoom for both female and male providers. Dedicated Facebook groups limited to grieving providers after pregnancy and infant loss are also another avenue for support.

Speaking in Grand Rounds and at conferences has allowed me to share how providers experience loss at a higher rate than the general populations, things pregnant providers may consider to reduce their risks, etc.

Many have downloaded the "Safer OR Assignments for Pregnant Anesthesia Providers" PDF that was created as research was pulled for speaking opportunities.

You can find all of these resources at www.pausetoremember.org.
