Summary
- Dr. Ana Barac is a cardiologist with expertise in cardiovascular care of patients with cancer, including early diagnosis and management of cardiovascular effects of cancer therapies. She specializes in cardiac imaging, including cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) and echocardiography. In 2023 she joined the Inova Schar Cancer Institute and Inova Schar Heart and Vascular as a D'Aniello Chair in Cardio-oncology at Inova Health System In Virginia. She is a Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University and previously founded cardio-oncology program at MedStar Health. Dr. Barac was the founding Chair of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Cardio-oncology Council and Section and has served as a co-Chair of the annual ACC Live Course on CV Care in Oncology patient since its inception in 2017. She is an active clinical investigator and serves on national and international panels focused on improvement of cardiovascular outcomes in cancer patients.
