Ilizarov, MD, MBA, is a board-certified pediatrician and neonatologist with over 35 years of experience caring for newborns, infants, and children.He began his career at Moscow’s prestigious N.F. Filatov Children’s Hospital (1988–1992). After immigrating to the U.S. in 1992, he completed residency at Winthrop-University Hospital, NY, and a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship at SUNY Stony Brook.Dr. Ilizarov serves as Medical Director of a large neonatology team with Pediatrix in McAllen, Texas, and is Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine. He holds an Executive MBA in Health and authored Chatting Through Business School.An expert in neonatal ventilation, he introduced High-Frequency Jet Ventilation (HFJV) locally and pioneered therapeutic music in the NICU.
