Dr. Jennerich completed her medical degree at Louisiana State University, followed by internal medicine residency and chief residency there. She pursued fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and earned a Master’s in Epidemiology at the University of Washington.
Her clinical and academic work focuses on improving outcomes for critically ill patients and their families, with a particular emphasis on palliative care in the ICU. She is a nationally recognized expert in this area, having authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and served in leadership roles within the American Thoracic Society and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Her research has been funded by the NIH, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the National Palliative Care Research Center.
Dr. Jennerich is also an active mentor and educator, supporting the development of the next generation of physician-scientists in pulmonary and critical care medicine.
