Throughout her career, Dr. Pendo has been a strong advocate for physician and advanced practice provider well-being. In senior clinical and system leadership roles, she helped build cultures where engagement, satisfaction, and professional fulfillment were prioritized—grounded in her belief that when clinicians are supported, patients receive better care. Dr. Pendo earned her MD from the University of Southern California and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where she also served as chief resident. She practiced internal medicine and geriatrics for over three decades in California and Utah and held system and regional leadership roles at Intermountain Health, including work in value-based care, patient experience, leadership development, and provider well-being.

Outside of work, she enjoys time with her husband, Duncan, and their therapy two dogs, Olive and Ollie.
