• Dr. Annelies De Wulf is an Emergency Medicine specialist based in New Orleans, LA. She completed her residency in emergency medicine at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine from 2008 to 2012, and she is a 2008 graduate of the Tulane University School of Medicine. Her research work includes multiple publications focusing on emergency medicine in low-resource settings, particularly in Haiti. She works clinically in the Emergency Department at the University Medical Center of New Orleans.
  She currently also works as the Director of Violence Intervention Services at the University Medical Center of New Orleans. This is a Hospital Based Violence Intervention Program that offers violence intervention services, including crisis intervention such as safety planning, de-escalation of violence and emotional support to those impacted by violence as early as the Emergency Department. The program also offers long term strengths-based case management, goal setting and achievement, and life planning to reduce the risk of future violent injury.
