Summary

• I am a lifelong academic physician with subspecialty certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and special practice designation in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.
  My initial medical training took place at Federico II University, in Naples, the world's oldest secular university. I moved to the USA from Italy in 1990 for residency training in gynecology at the University of Texas in Houston. My subspecialty training took place at the world's oldest Reproductive Endocrinology certified fellowship program at Brigham and Women's Hospital (Harvard Medical School).
  I have been straddling the fields of assisted reproduction and reproductive surgery since 1996. My surgical team has pioneered the introduction of robotic surgery in severe endometriosis, fibroids, complex uterine pathology and tubal microsurgery.
  Cross-training in the European and the American health systems has granted me a "bird's eye" view of the ethical and social challenges of reproductive technology and surgery, and an enviable network of national and international professional collaborators.
  I am quadrilingual, and offer evaluation in native language to Spanish, French and Italian-speaking patients.
  Starting in mid 2024 I have transitioned to private IVF and reproductive surgery practice in Boston at Fertility Centers of New England, a First Fertility company, where I am medical director of advanced reproductive surgery. I operate out of the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts and Exeter Hospital, in the New Hampshire seacoast.
