Summary

  • I completed my critical care medicine fellowship in 1993 at St. Louis University. I am a board certified intensivist since 1995 and moved to Florida in 2000. I am the cofounder of Central Florida Inpatient Medicine, now one of the largest hospitalist group in Florida. I left CFIM in 2004 to participate in the constitution of Sand Lake Hospitalists where I worked until 2007 when I was called to form and head the Critical Care program at Sand Lake Hospital, now Dr. Phillips Hospital. After the success of the program at Dr. Phillips Hospital, I was offered the opportunity to form and lead a similar program at Health Central Hospital, which joined the family of hospitals of the Orlando Health group in 2012. I was the medical director of Critical Care Medicine until August 2019, when I assumed the position of AVP of Orlando Health and Chief Quality Officer of Health Central Hospital. After a brief tenure as Chief Clinical Officer at Spectrum Medical Partners, I decided to return to clinical medicine as an internist at Horizon Primary Care and a critical care nedicine locum physician.
