Summary

  • I am from Co. Kildare in Ireland and have lived in the U.S. for the past 20 years. I attended medical school from 1995-2001 at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. I did my family medicine residency in Dublin and then moved to the U.S. and completed a second family medicine residency at the University of Maryland. Since then, I have worked in family practice, urgent care and the emergency department setting. I spent four years working at a clinic with the LGBTQIA+ community providing HIV and transgender care. I have completed extra training in peri-menopause and menopause care to support my patients through that time of life.

I joined the AIM Health family because of the patient-focused model of care. I enjoy having adequate time with each of my patients and having the luxury of seeing you the same day or the next day when you need me. I appreciate having extra time with folk to promote and encourage a healthy lifestyle, this usually includes discussions on activity and the types of exercise that would most benefit you in your stage of life and with your medical concerns. We talk about hormone changes in different seasons of life and how to improve your levels. Eating habits and healthy dietary changes are key to a healthy life and longevity and can help with weight, sleep, hormone levels, energy and psychological well-being. AIM Health is a membership-based clinic. Your membership fee allows me to practice without having a panel of 2,000-3,000 patients and 15 minute visits. I get to spend more time with you and we get to work together on preventing adverse health outcomes and improving the quality and longevity of your life. I practice using shared decision-making, meaning you and I will figure out your health plan together.
