    Dr. Wachsman currently serves as the Medical Director of the Neurocritical Care Unit at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, a Level I Trauma Center. When not in the NCCU, he directs the only neurology clinic in the region devoted entirely to survivors of traumatic brain injury. He is assistant professor of neurology at the Case Western University School of Medicine.

    Dr. Wachsman's clinical experience includes management of acute traumatic brain injury and its sequelae, ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, tumors of the brain and spinal cord, epilepsy, CNS infections, and neuroinflammatory and neuroendocrine disorders. He has authored several publications, including studies on COVID-19-related acute stroke, predictors of delayed cerebral ischemia, the effect of age on transcranial Doppler velocities, and the practice of neurocritical care in austere environments.
