- Dr. Hassid is a Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist who is a recognized expert in Transradial and complex Percutaneous Interventions. His clinical interests include complex coronary intervention, cardiovascular disease, chronic total occlusion angioplasty, and endovascular intervention.
Prior to becoming the Associate Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Dr. Hassid served as the Associate Director of the Cardiac Care Unit at Lenox Hill Heart & Vascular Institute. Dr. Hassid has also served on the faculty at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University as well. Dr. Hassid is a graduate of Upstate Medical University at Syracuse, NY and completed his Residency at North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset. Dr. Hassid completed his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at New York Presbyterian Weill-Cornell and upon completion joined the Interventional Cardiology Faculty at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University.
Dr. Hassid been a primary investigator in multiple ground-breaking clinical trials assessing future drug advances, and new procedural techniques and devices related to the treatment of coronary artery disease. And as the Associate Director of the Cardiology Fellowship Program, he directly supervises and guides the training and of the next generation of Interventional Cardiologists.
