  • As an undergraduate, Barth Wilsey was a Henry Rutgers Scholar in Biochemistry at Rutgers University. Upon graduation from Rutgers Medical School in 1971 with a Masters in Medical Education, he transferred to the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine graduating in 1973. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at University of California Davis Health and undertook fellowships in Pain Medicine at both the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System (clinical) and the University of California San Francisco (clinical research). He was experienced in managing Neuropathic Pain and contributed several publications to the field, including studies on the use of smoked and vaporized cannabis for neuropathic pain. His clinical research also explored the addiction potential of opioids.
