Summary

Ben is a family physician and entrepreneur interested in the re-emergence of primary care and societal wellness through clinic and system-level innovation and design. With a background in international studies and public health, he completed his schooling at UNC Chapel Hill before pursuing full-spectrum family medicine training at MAHEC in Asheville, NC, where he served as chief resident and stayed on for a year as faculty. He founded and leads Lantern Health, a direct primary care (DPC) practice based in Asheville, NC, where he still practices. He previously served as the Head of DPC for Decent, building affordable health plans for employers with DPC at the center. He is driven to transform healthcare to work better for everyone.
