- Ryan Rich, MD (born Benjamin Ryan Bohaty) is a Florida State board certified dermatologist, researcher, & leader committed to the advancement of dermatology knowledge & skin treatment. His professional interests focus on cosmetic dermatology, including injectable fillers, neuromodulators, and laser therapies. He also remains engaged in clinical research in the fields of cosmetic & medical dermatology.
Dr. Rich was born in Nebraska & raised in Ohio. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Miami University (BS, Zoology/Neuroscience) & diverse dermatology training during & after medical school at leading academic centers including Case Western, the Cleveland Clinic, the University of Cincinnati, Northwestern University, the University of Texas – Houston, & the University at Buffalo, he successfully completed his dermatology residency training at Brown University.
His research interests are primarily clinical, & he has served as an investigator for over 30 clinical trials covering a wide range of cutaneous conditions from acne to tuberous sclerosis. As sub-investigator, Dr. Rich has collaborated with a number of top pharmaceutical & biotechnology companies including Amgen, GlaxoSmithKline, Celgene, Novartis, Genentech, Regeneron, Merz Pharma, Anacor Pharmaceuticals, & Astellas Pharma.
Dr. Rich was awarded the Oxford Scholars Scholarship all four years during his undergraduate training at Miami University. In 2010, he was honored to give a presentation at the annual ACDS meeting in Miami, FL & be a winner at the Fisher resident competition for his work investigating irritant & allergic contact dermatitis to quaternary ammonium compounds. His abstracts & articles in the field of dermatology have been accepted & published both nationally & internationally in a number of peer-reviewed mediums.
In his free time Dr. Rich enjoys spending time with his wife Kristy and his two daughters Grace & Audrey.
