Summary

  • I am Board Certified in Emergency Medicine for 30 years, as well as being board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. I trained at University of Massachusetts Medical School, and did my internship and residency in Medicine at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, and ID fellowship at the Wadsworth VA Medical Center and UCLA. I am also a fellow in the Amercan College of Physicians, fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians, fellow in the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, and member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, as well as SHEA and APIC. Currently, I work full time at a Los Angeles County hospital in the Emergency Department, and I am involved as a Co-Chairman for the Infection Control and Antibiotic Stewardship Committees. I am looking to work at a Democratic Emergency Department with a short path to partnership, and to start telemedicine positions. I would also consider urgent care opportunities. I have a full unrestricted liscense in California, and I am currently being credentialled in Colorado, Missouri, Georgia and South Carolina. I am passionate about Emergency Medicine and Infectious Diseases, and I love to get actively involved with the department and committees, to do whatever I can for the group, the staff, the patients and the community. Thank you. Bernard McNamara, MD
