Summary
- I trained at the University of Washington for medical school and did a family medicine residency at Scripps in San Diego. I spent many years in a rural community, practicing full spectrum family medicine, including obstetrics, outpatient adult and pediatrics, inpatient hospital care, and emergency medicine. I later focused on obesity medicine, addiction medicine, and outpatient primary care medicine where the majority of my patients suffered from anxiety or depression. What I found in working in all these areas was that I really valued seeing the impact on my patient's overall health by focusing on their mental health. For this reason, I began working solely in mental health for the last year.
Aside from work, I am obsessed with dogs; they are my favorite thing in the world. I love to dance, even if I’m the only one on the dance floor. And I love to travel; I am never happier than when I’m getting on a plane
