Summary

  • As a Vietnamese immigrant, I understand firsthand the health care disparities in under-served communities. My family immigrated to America in 1991. Despite hard work and long hours, my parents simply could not afford health care for our family. Being a responsible person, I have always wanted to have a positive impact on my family and on my community. The combination of my outgoing personality, a degree in psychology, and health care experiences propels me toward a career as a physician assistant.

Being an immigrant, it is especially satisfying to know that hard work does pay off. As I follow my "American Dream" and establish myself as a role model in the community, I look forward to furthering my educational goal. As an Emergency Medicine physician assistant who believes that all people deserve quality health care, I will continue to be a tireless advocate
for under-served populations. Most importantly, I hope to represent the physician assistants' role well as I embark on this lifelong endeavor.
