  • Dr. Bradley R. Davis is the Chief of Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Previously he held the position as the Vice Chair, Surgical Education in the Department of Surgery at the University of Cincinnati. He held the position of Medical Director Cincinnati C-STARS from 2001-4 and was responsible for developing the advanced CCATT curriculum and simulation activities. His research interests are both clinical and surgical simulation. He has extramural funding from the Department of Defense as the Principal Investigator to study the impact of non-technical skills on the performance of Critical Care Air Transport Teams during simulated air evacuation missions. Dr. Davis has presented at multiple national and international meetings, and is the author of multiple peer reviewed research articles. He has participated in a variety of national meetings as both a hands on instructor, lecturer and course director for simulation based training. He serves on multiple loco-regional and national committees and is a member of the Research Council for the Association of Program Directors in Surgery, the Operative Competency Committee for the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (COSATS). He is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
