Dr Gerhardstein holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology and Biochemistry from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL with his thesis on calcium channel regulation. He later received his M.D. from WSU. He then did his Neurology Residency and was the Chief Resident in Neurology at JFK Neuroscience Institute. He is now the Director of Headache Medicine and a UCNS-certified Headache Medicine Specialist at Hackensack JFK University Medical Center.
