He is a former Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and is an Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry at New York Medical College. He practices general psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry and is an experienced Forensic Psychiatrist. He has been board certified in General Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry and Adolescent Psychiatry. He has also had certifications as a Psychopharmacologist by the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology. Prior to full time private practice he was the Chief of the Department of Psychiatry at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, CT (1986-2003), the Clinical Director of the Department of Psychiatry at the Westchester County Medical Center University Hospital (1983-1986) and Associate Director of the Psychiatric Residency Training Program at New York Medical College (1978-1983).
