Summary
- Dr. Cameron G. McDougall is the Director of Endovascular Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He was one of the first neurosurgeons in the country to receive formal fellowship training in endovascular techniques, completing his training at the University of California, San Francisco in 1995. Following his fellowship, he joined the staff at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, where he rose to the rank of professor and held the Lou and Evelyn Grubb Endowed Chair for Cerebrovascular Surgery. He has developed an international reputation for excellence in patient care and integrity in his research and led has large multi-center randomized trials studying endovascular therapies for cerebrovascular disease. He has published over two hundred peer reviewed papers with that work being cited more than 15,000 times in other peer reviewed publications . He has worked collaboratively across medical disciplines and was the first neurosurgeon elected to be President of the Society of Neurointerventional Surgeons. While in Phoenix, he developed one of the most highly sought after Endovascular Neurosurgery Fellowship Training programs in the country and is most proud of the success that his former fellows enjoy at academic institutions across the country.
