Summary
- I am a board certified Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist with strong interest in research. My current interest includes mechanism of leukemogenesis in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Currently, my laboratory research is on a group of proteins which are produced by a mycovirus containing, non-aflatoxin producing Aspergillus Flavus which I have previously cultured from the home of a patient and have patented. Plasma of patients with ALL react positive to this protein. Exposure of cells from ALL patients in remission to the product of this organism reproduces genetics and cell surface markers characteristic of ALL. Controls are negative.
