Summary

  • I am a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, currently I am completing my Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) and my Doctorate in Nursing Education (Ed.D). I am a Nationally Registered Certified Medical Examiner (NRCME) through the FMCSA; which, allows me to perform DOT physicals and upload the individual's information into the National Registry. I am credentialed through the Veteran's Evaluation Services (VES), which allows me to perform Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQ's), to assist Veterans with obtaining their benefits and compensation from the VA. I am an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner at Taylor Internal Medicine of Jasper, and care for patient's who are at least 18 years of age.

    Below is a a brief summary regarding my experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
    -I practiced independently in Gallup, NM for 2 years; in which, I was the Medical Director/Provider for several clinics. The clinics consisted of the following specialties:
    -Urgent Care- I provided care for patients from ages 0- End-of-Life (neonates, infants, childhood, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics).
    -Occupational Health- I provided additional services, such as: Workman's Compensation, Infection Control for the community and employees, Primary Care to those who had completed the substance abuse program, Disability Benefits, Veteran Disability Benefit Questionnaires, and performed multiple invasive procedures.
    -Behavioral Health Services- I rounded once a week after establishing an effective plan of care for the patient.
    -Substance Abuse Program- Inpatient/Outpatient services were offered.
