• Dr. Charles Kraus is a retired urologist who was in practice for 35 years in Canton, OH, with extensive experience in prostate cancer, urinary incontinence, minimally invasive surgery, kidney calculi, and kidney neoplasms. He completed both his surgical and urological residencies at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center after graduating from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 1975. Dr. Kraus served as an Associate Clinical Professor of Urology at Northeast Ohio Medical University until 2016. He has been recognized with several honors, including the Aultman Hospital Medical Staff Hippocrates Honor Society in 2015 and the Aultman Hospital Golden Apple Award in 2011. He is also a published author, having written about radical perineal prostatectomy. He also wrote a book about Thompsonville, Michigan, Thompsonville in Time A Nortwest Michigan Story 1890-2021, for the Benzie Area Historical Society and Museum, published in 2021 by Mission Point Press. He and his wife, Judith, live in northwest Michigan. He often can be found hiking in the woods or wading in the nearby rivers and streams.
