Summary
- Chester Andrzejewski, Ph.D, M.D. is a board certified Pathologist based in Springfield, MA, with subspecialties in blood banking and transfusion medicine. He completed his residency in Clinical Pathology/ Laboratory Medicine and fellowship in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after earning his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, where he also obtained a Ph.D. in Immunology and a ScB in Biology from Brown University. Dr. Andrzejewski has experience in dealing with various transfusion-related conditions, including transfusion reactions especially those associated with respiratory and circulatory overload adverse effects. His research works, which have been published in notable journals such as The New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of Immunology, the Journal of Experimental Medicine, the Journal of Clinical Apheresis, and Transfusion, reflect his research and clinical contributions to the field, including studies on transfusion-related adverse reactions, hemovigilance monitoring, immune repertoires, inflammation, and autoimmune disorders.
