Summary
- Dr. Lin is a cognitive and movement disorders neurologist. He was trained by Drs. Stanley Fahn, Sheng-Han Kuo, and Yaakov Stern at Columbia University Medical Center for movement disorders, cerebellar neurology, and cognitive neuroscience. Dr. Lin's research focuses on how the human cerebellum can 1) serve as a therapeutic target for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and cerebellar ataxia; and 2) modulate the reward system, affecting decision-making and impulse control. At Baylor College of Medicine, he also co-leads work in precision medicine for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, aiming to develop individualized approaches for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Dr. Lin has taken on the role of a principal investigator for multiple clinical trials, focusing on identifying disease-modifying therapy for individuals with atypical parkinsonian disorders and cerebellar ataxia, including progressive supranuclear palsy and multiple system atrophy.
