Summary

• I started my career as an Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine at two medical schools, and then spent next 25+ years in private practice in Tulsa, OK. I began working at the VA-Maui Community Based Outpatient Clinic as the Chief Medical Officer since Oct. 2017. I also serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine Dept of Internal Medicine.
  
  I have interests in global health and medical education in developing countries. I participated in more than 40 short-term trips to countries including Mexico, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Slovakia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Nepal, Haiti, Swaziland, Malawi and Ethiopia. I have been focusing on medical education and clinical training of physicians in Malawi and Ethiopia since 2009.
