  • Dr. Mamczak is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who specializes in fractures from the most simple to the most complex. He treats both pediatric and adult injuries. Driven by his dedication to continuing medical education, he provides the most up-to-date fracture care for residents of the greater Saint Petersburg, FL region.

    Dr. Mamczak attended the University of Notre Dame for undergraduate studies and then received his medical degree and residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Rowan University- School of Osteopathic Medicine. Afterwards, he completed advanced training with a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma and fracture surgery at the renowned Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.

    Dr. Mamczak specializes in extremity fractures (simple to complex), along with acute and reconstructive orthopaedic fracture care including: fractures of the pelvis and acetabulum (hip socket), peri-articular fractures (involving extremity joints), complex foot fractures (i.e.; calcaneus, talus, Lis Franc), extremity amputations (post-traumatic or diabetic/vascular), fractures failing to heal (Non-Unions), bone infections (osteomyelitis) and deformity corrections (Malunions).

    He serves as an Associate Professor at The University of South Florida Department of Orthopaedic Surgery training residents and fellows. He continues to publish manuscripts and book chapters related to orthopaedic fracture care, trauma and coagulopathy. Dr. Mamczak is a retired Navy Lieutenant Commander where he served as an orthopaedic trauma surgeon in Kandahar, Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom and aboard the USNS Comfort during Operation Unified Response for the 2010 Haitian earthquake humanitarian relief effort (receiving medals of commendation for both).

    Dr. Mamczak remains an active member in the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery where he serves as a committee member and educator.
