Summary

• I completed 29 years total military service beginning as an enlisted E-1 and retiring as an officer, Captain (06) US Navy. I am an experienced Staff Psychiatrist with a demonstrated history of working in the mental health care industry. Skilled in Prevention, Healthcare Management, Training, Public Speaking, and Working with Veterans and their families. I deployed to various war zones in Iraq, caring for detainees in Cuba and serving in shipboard and undersea psychiatry while in the military. I also had the good fortune of serving at various highly kinetic bases while a federal civil service employee of the U.S. Department of State in Afghanistan and the mid-East. I also have a fondness of working with the geriatric population, following completion of a Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship program in the Walter Reed Army Medical Center- National Capital Consortium, Washington, D.C. I retired from the Navy in September 2007 and then retired from Federal Service (GS-15) in November 2016. I now work part-time and mostly spending more time with my family, reading and learning more about Planet Earth.
