Summary
- I am an adult cardiologist practicing at an academic medical center. I am the Director of the Global Cardiovascular Health Program at the University of Washington. My program of research, funded by multiple NIH and foundation grants, aims to elucidate the epidemiology and mechanisms of HIV related cardiovascular disease in the USA and Uganda. In a parallel program of research in Uganda, I am interested in rheumatic heart disease and the intersection between RHD and HIV.
