• Dr. Christopher Young is a Colorectal/General Surgeon who is currently pursuing American Board in Surgery (ABS) certification at the Allegheny Health Network (AHN), in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, commencing July 2025.
  Previously he was a Colorectal/General Surgeon in Abilene, Kansas, for 4 years, then prior a Colorectal Surgeon at RPAH in Sydney for 22 years, Director of Surgical Services, Program Lead Peritonectomy, Executive Director of Surgical Education at the RPA Institute of Academic Surgery, Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney, serving as Head of Department of Colorectal Surgery at RPA from 2008-2019.
  He is a past member of the Australia and New Zealand Training Board in Colon and Rectal Surgery 2013-2021, Deputy-Chairman RACS ANZ Scholarship and Grant Committee, and past Chairman of the RACS Board In General Surgery. He is lead author of the RACS General Surgery Board Exam textbook 'Examination Surgery'.
  Dr. Young’s interests include the management of colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and pelvic floor dysfunction, surgical education and decision making.
  His specialty training in colorectal surgery included fellowships in Australia at Royal Adelaide Hospital (1995), in Sydney at RPA and Concord Hospitals (1995-1997) and at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA (1997-1999).
  Dr. Young completed a MBA at KWU in December 2022, completed and was awarded a PhD in colorectal surgery at CDU in September 2024, and completed a EdD at NMC in December 2024.
