Summary

  • I am a board certified OB/GYN with excellent surgical skills - experienced with traditional laparoscopy and DaVinci robotic hysterectomy and complicated cesarean sections. I led the University of Missouri to its Baby-Friendly Certification in 2015. I started a CenteringPregnancy program at the University of Missouri and also started a midwifery program. I have interests in breastfeeding, trauma-informed care, patient-centered care, evidence-based birth and patient autonomy. I consistently have patient satisfaction scores in the upper 90th percentile and RVU production greater than the 95th percentile. I am a leader in the community and lead a robust social media group. I have been the most "googled" physician at the University of Missouri for several years and have also won Columbia's Favorite OB/GYN. In addition to my leadership skills, clinical skills and creativity, I consistently receive excellent evaluations for teaching. I am frequently invited to speak for departments within our system and also within the region. Topics of expertise include prenatal care quality, patient autonomy, birth trauma, breastfeeding and vulvar dystrophies.
