• Hello, my name is Dr. Cris Vieira.
  
  I am a physician practicing medicine for over 25 years, specialized in the areas of Hyperbaric Oxygen Medicine, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Intervention, and Electrolyte Imbalances.
  
  I like to take this opportunity to talk about a lifetime project of mine called Indy Vital. I'm the founder and the medical director of this brand-new medical facility located on the Northeast side of our beautiful Indianapolis.
  
  At Indy Vital motto's is: “Going from illness to wellness”. The vision and the idea of creating Indy Vital came to me out of frustration with the current status of our healthcare. Currently, most doctors are forced to see patients every 10 to 15 minutes limiting our capacity to deliver what we had trained for, treating the patient, not the disease. The medical system is designed to favor pharmaceutical companies and the culture induces that every patient visit ends up with at least one new written prescription. My frustration is that this excessive use of medications usually doesn’t bring our patients back to their best state of health, performance, function status and happiness, especially when managing chronic illnesses. On the contrary, most of the times we don’t know the long-term effects of using 2 or more medications combine. Side effects are common and may worsen the patient’s condition. I learned with my father, an old school doctor, that every medication is also a potential poison.
  
  Indy Vital is here to try to change this paradigm. We all know that there is no happiness in the absence of excellent health. Now that you understand the concept of my project, I am very excited to inform you that on January 2nd, 2020 we are opening this fantastic new Institute, we named Indy Vital.
  
  At Indy Vital, we are bringing our community the latest in medical science that uses hyperbaric oxygen therapy, laser and low-level light therapy, shockwave therapy, cryotherapy, microcurrent therapy and more.
