  • Daniel Cox, DO, is an experienced Cardiologist located in Salt Lake City, UT, who specializes in Adult Congenital Heart Disease. Having graduated in 2007 from the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, he then completed his IM-Peds Residency at the Maine Medical Center and his Fellowship training at the Medical College of Wisconsin/Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. He holds the position of Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Dr. Cox has particular experience in the care of patients with simple and complex congenital heart disease, women with CHD who are considering or who are currently pregnant, conditions that affect the aorta (aortopathies: Marfan syndrome, Loeys-Dietz syndrome, Turner syndrome, etc.), valvular disorders, transesophageal echocardiography, and transthoracic echocardiography. He has published numerous research articles in reputable journals, including Pediatric Cardiology, Journal of the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, and American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His work has been cited several times by other publications. He is the Director of the Utah Adult Congenital Heart Disease program, the Aortopathy Program, as well as the Program Director for the ACHD Fellowship training program. To provide care to a diverse patient population and region, he has several clinics in Central Utah as well as Southeast Idaho.
