• Daniel Kessler, D.O. founded KADAN Institute to continue to provide excellent services not only to First Coast residents locally but provide consultations for patients globally as well.
  After undergraduate studies at Emory University, he worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for two years actively involved in research and studying effects of environmental toxins on health at the National Center for Environmental Health before finishing his medical school at NOVA Southeastern University.
  
  Subsequently, he successfully completed his medical training at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida and is Double Board Certified in Family Medicine as well as Integrative Holistic Medicine. In addition, he is certified as one of the first groups of global practitioners of the Institute of Functional Medicine.Functional Medicine helps uncover some of the root causes of illness using a patient centered approach.
  
  Born and raised in Germany, Dr. Kessler grew up and witnessed first hand in his parents' clinic - one of the leading functional medicine practices in Europe, how functional medicine has the the ability to make a difference in the health of his patients and he also believes medications are not always the answer. We are learning more how we have to take a personalized medical approach especially when it comes to chronic medical disease and Dr. Kessler believes that as physicians we act as facilitators for patients' health so that patients have to play an active role in their health and when he does not compete in international table tennis tournaments, he enjoys spending time with his family
