Summary

Daniel LoVerde, DO, is a pulmonary and critical care physician based in Greenville, SC, with subspecialties in cardiac critical care, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation and mechanical circulatory support. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado and a fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Dr. LoVerde received his medical degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine and a master's in Neuromuscular Science from the New York Institute of Technology College of Health Science. He has served as Division Chief at Prisma Health - Upstate since 2024 and worked at various institutions, including Billings Clinic and Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. His expertise includes pulmonary hypertension, cardiac critical care, advanced shock and mechanical circulatory support. He serves as the director of the ECMO research lab at PRISMA Health with grant funded research. He has published articles in journals such as CHEST and Critical Care Medicine and has received several honors, including the Gold Humanism Honor Society in 2015.
