Summary

  • As a physician triple-board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and obesity medicine, with formal advanced training in interventional endoscopy, I treat patients affected by obesity and related conditions through anti-obesity medications and minimally-invasive, non-surgical endoscopic bariatric therapies (“endobariatrics”). Through my role as Research Associate Director, I help our organization advance the field of endobariatrics through the investigation of novel devices and techniques. Major interests include medical education in endobariatrics, application of endobariatrics within other metabolic disease states (e.g. diabetes, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease), and patient advocacy in obesity (especially insurance coverage and stigma reduction).
