Summary

  • I am a Professor of Neurological Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital. I serve as the Vice Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery, the Neurosurgery Residency Program Director, and Director of our Brain Tumor Center. I specialize in intracranial surgery and minimally invasive spine procedures. I have special interests in pituitary adenomas, having operated on over 4,300 patients. I direct both clinical and basic research relating to brain tumors, and have a number of novel clinical trials and treatments available to patients. I serve as a special consultant to NASA relating to problems with intracranial pressure in space, and also as a scholar of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, where I participate in the administration of written and oral board certifying examinations. I accept email inquiries and believe that our website at www.houstonmethodost.org/peakcenter will give insight into the activities at our center.
