Summary
- I have 42 years experience practicing emergency medicine, largely in the greater Houston area. During those years I have been on the faculties of 3 different emergency medicine residencies, currently voluntary clinical assistant professor at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. My academic subspecialty is psychiatric emergency medicine, in particular mood and anxiety disorders. I have published original research in peer-reviewed journals and have been an invited speaker at national and international meetings where my topics have been emergency department management of depression and suicidality, anxiety disorders and delirium vs. dementia vs. psychosis.
