Summary

  • I have stepped down as Professor and Chair of the Department of Radiology at the University of Chicago in February, 2019, and am working part time in Abdominal Imaging.. My primary academic interests revolve around implementation of quality techniques in clinical practice and enhancing operational efficiency. I have actively participated in training and application of Lean techniques applied to health care, and have provided educational sessions for the ACR and RSNA quality and safety programs. I have been actively involved in formulation and implementation of IT initiatives to improve efficiency and safety in health care. I am also an Associate Editor of Practice Management for Abdominal Radiology, prior Chair of the Multispecialty/Special Interest Educational Exhibit Committee for the RSNA, a committee member for publication of educational quality exhibits for the RSNA/Radiographics, and a committee member for corporate sponsorship for the SAR. I am a fellow of the ACR, the AIUM and SAR.
