  • Dr. David Solá-Del Valle is a glaucoma/cataract specialist. He has become Chief Medical Officer at Chittick Eye Care and faculty at the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. He was an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School, where he taught residents, fellows, and medical students in addition to conducting clinical research with an emphasis on glaucoma medications, laser therapy, and microinvasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). He will continue doing research at Massachusetts Eye and Ear under Dr. Milica Margeta's lab. He finished his glaucoma fellowship at Bascom Palmer in 2016 after graduating residency from Massachusetts Eye and Ear. He received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons AOA after graduating magna cum laude from Harvard College. He speaks French, Italian, and Spanish fluently and enjoys being a busy clinician/surgeon/researcher who takes care of a diverse patient population.
