Summary

  • At VisionSR we are developing a multimedia structured reporting system for diagnostic radiology that is analogous to being the Facebook for medicine. Rather than generating conventional narrative reports, our software captures key images and a radiologist's voice descriptions of image findings, tags each finding with metadata, and assembles a multimedia structured report. The final report resembles the child's game Operation! so that a patient's entire medical history can be accessed from a single view. The most recent key images overlie sites of disease on a patient graphic. When a user clicks on a site of disease, a disease timeline is generated to illustrate the entire history of disease at that location. The technology allows for the integration of multidisciplinary information in the disease timelines to correlate radiological findings with pathological and genomic information.
