Summary
- I am an MD candidate and PhD graduate (Systems Biology and Bioinformatics) at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. My PhD work was focused on the development of "evolutionary therapies", treatments that take advantage of predictable patterns of evolution to control cancer or pathogens. More specifically, I designed bioinformatic pipelines to expand and guide personalized therapies in oncology, as well as AI systems to combat drug resistance in bacteria. I really love developing software - and released all of the methods from my PhD work as formal software packages so that it can be more easily re-produced, extended, and understood. Long-term, I aim to combine my interest in caring for patients with my passion for discovery as the PI of an NIH-funded laboratory.
