- Dennis J. Baumgardner, MD, is Institutional Official, Research Subject Protection for Aurora Health Care; Director of Campus Research and of Faculty Appointments and Promotions for Aurora UW Medical Group; Associate Director of the Center for Urban Population Health; and Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Patient-Centered Research and Reviews. He is Clinical Adjunct Professor of Family Medicine and Community Health, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Baumgardner received a BS, with distinction in Microbiology, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1979). He completed his medical training at the University of Illinois (1983) and the Rockford (Ill.) Family Practice Residency Program (1986). He originally joined the St. Luke's Family Medicine Residency faculty in 1986, later assuming additional duties at Aurora, now Advocate Aurora Health.
