Summary

• Dr. Sharma is a board certified urologist and comprehensive men’s health specialist with fellowship training in sexual dysfunction, male infertility, and genitourinary surgery. His practice is focused on male voiding complaints, ED, Peyronie’s disease, low testosterone, male infertility, and prostate cancer survivorship. He brings advanced training and expertise in contemporary treatments including no-scalpel vasectomy, Greenlight photovaporization of the prostate, UroLift, penile injection and shockwave therapy, penile implants, artificial urinary sphincters and slings, urethral reconstruction, and microsurgical techniques including vasectomy reversal, varicocele repair, sperm extraction, and spermatic cord denervation.
  
  Dr. Sharma joined Chesapeake Urology in August 2020. Dr. Sharma was born and raised in Montgomery County and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland with a degree in Bioengineering. He graduated with Honors from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, then completed Urology Residency and Andrology Fellowship at the University of Virginia.
  
  He has inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society while in medical school. In training, Dr. Sharma received an honorable mention for the Mullholland Teaching Award and was the winner of the American Urological Association’s National Chief Resident debate. He has received scholarships from the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction (SSMR), the Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA), Global Surgical Expedition, and the University of Maryland.
  
  As an active member of the American Urological Association (AUA) and its Mid-Atlantic Section, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), SSMR, SMSNA, and the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons (SUPS), Dr. Sharma strives to provide cutting-edge and compassionate care for his patients and community.
